Lesson 2: Permission to Obtain Video

Initially before collecting the Media Release forms, I spoke with both my cooperating teacher and principal about the best ways to obtain this information for my student teaching. My principal informed me that in most cases the Media Release forms are filled out online during registration but she also provided me with paper copies just in case. I printed out the Video Recording Permission Request form from Grand Canyon University along with the Media Release forms for my school district (DeKalb County). Once I printed both forms out, I stapled and attached a copy of the form to each student's agenda to take home and return by the end of the week on Friday. In, addition I posted a message on Class Dojo informing parents of the important documents that were sent home. Once, I collected  the forms back I scanned and uploaded each  document to a folder and saved it on a flash drive ( Grand Canyon Request forms only ). Lesson 1: Standard 8.2

One of the ways that I engage students into technology in the classroom is through the use of document cameras, instructional videos, and interactive learning websites. I utilize the document camera frequently to project the lessons that we are working on during our instructional period with the class.  When I use the document camera, I model for students in real-time so the are able to follow along during the lesson as I guide them.
